This thrift store surf print inspires a makeover of a century-old Santa Cruz cottage.
The print that was stored in a basement was given a place of honor in this remodel in Santa Cruz, CA. The main kitchen leverages an under-counter refrigerator and freezer to provide wall to wall counter space. A shed roof, clerestory windows, and french doors add space and light turning the former garage into an ADU. A murphy bed, half bath, and shop sink add functionality and versatility. But we didn’t stop there! Landscaping, a fountain, and comfy seating create outdoor rooms. Mid-century modern chairs, more surf art, and an orange and teal palette wrap it all up in a beach towel, ready to hang ten! See if you can spot the print in the pics below!
