This passion piece inspired a main bedroom that orbits around travel.
This one of a kind table was designed by sharronStudio and realized by master cabinet maker Curt Doughty out of walking sticks from the owner’s travels in Haiti. The artistry of Curt Doughty has been featured in the homes of the lead singer of Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong, and musician Bobby McFerrin.
Informed by this design direction of personal travels, I added sketches from a Cambodian art student, layered Persian rugs, and a gallery wall of mementos to evoke far parts of the globe from right here in Asheville. The final touch of a wall mural from Fine and Dandy, London, provides a dreamily mysterious backdrop in this peaceful refuge.
